The Alaska Kennel Club welcomes Junior Handlers in our classes every Friday night (except Holidays). Each class instructor focuses on all the aspects of the showmanship competition. This includes good sportsmanship towards other competitors as well as dog show handling.

The classes are taught by Alaska Kennel Club member, Sherry Sims. Sherry has been involved with dog shows and Junior Showmanship competition for many years, as she had a son and a daughter compete in Juniors when they were younger. Many of Sherry's students have done very well in local in state competition and in the lower 48. The AKKC is very proud of their juniors and all juniors who compete at our shows.
